Laddus are the most delicious and nutritious South Indian sweets. These are the ones that can be easily and quickly prepared. In this article you can learn easy methods to prepare different varieties of Laddus.
Bengal Gram Flour Laddu
Bengal Gram Flour - 2 cups
Sugar Powder - 2 cups
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Clove - 2 pieces
Cardamom Powder - 1/3 tsp
Fried Cashew Nuts - as required
Raisins - as required
Karkand - as required
Take ghee on a kadai and heat it in low flame. Add Bengal Gram flour to it and stir well so that vou can avoid lumps. When the flour reaches golden color, remove it from fire. Now add sugar powder, clove and cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts, dried grapes and karkand. Roll it to small balls called laddus.
Moong Dal Laddu
Ingredients
Moong Dal - 2 cups
Ghee - 1 cup
Sugar Powder - 2 cups
Cardamom Powder - 1/3 tsp
Fried Cashew Nuts - as required
Take moong dal in a pan and roast it till it gets golden brown color. Grind the roasted dal and set it aside. Put some ghee and cashew nuts in a kadai and fry it to golden brown color. Now mix well the moong dal powder, sugar powder, cardamom powder and fried cashew nuts in a bowl. Add remaining ghee little by little and make small balls of laddus.
Aval Laddu
Ingredients
Aval - 2 cups
Bengal Gram - 1 cups
Sugar - 2 cups
Ghee - 1 cup
Cashew Nuts - as required
Coconut Grated - as required
Cardamom Powder - 1/3 tsp
Mix aval, bengal gram and sugar in a bowl and grind it to powder. Now fry cashew nuts, coconut grated in a separate kadai. Take aval, bengal gram and sugar powder in another bowl and add fried coconut grate, cashew nuts and cardamom powder. Add ghee little by little to this mixture and make balls of Aval laddu.
Rava Laddu
Ingredients
Rava - 2 cups
Sugar - 2 cups
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
Cardamom Powder - 1/3 tsp
Cashew Nuts - as required
Ghee - as required
Raisins - as required
Milk - 1/2 cup
Place ghee on a pan, add rava and grated coconut to roast until it gets brown. Now remove the mixture from fire and add cashew nuts, raisins, sugar and raisins. Add milk little by little and get sweet balls of Rava Laddus.
Coconut Laddu
Grated Coconut - 2 cups
Sugar Powder - 2 cups
Ghee - 1 tsp
Cardamom Powder - as required
Cashew Nuts - as required
Take grated coconut in a pan and roast till it leaves oil. Once you see the oil, add sugar and stir well. Remove the mixture from fire and let it cool down. Fry some cashew nuts with ghee and keep it aside. Add fried cashew nuts and cardamom powder to the roasted coconut sugar mixture. Now you can make Coconut Laddus.
Sesame Laddu
Ingredients
White Sesame Seeds - 2 cups
Sugar Powder - 1 cup
Fried Peanuts to Powder - 1/2 cup
Ghee - as required
Cardamom - as required
Place white sesame seeds in a pan and roast till it gets brown color. Grind the roasted sesame seeds and mix with sugar powder, cardamom powder and peanut powder. Now add some ghee to it and roll it to get sesame laddus.
Rice Laddu
Ingredients
Roasted Rice - 2 cup
Bengal Gram - 1 cup
Sugar Powder - 2 cup
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Cardamom - as required
Cashew Nuts - as required
Add roasted rice, bengal gram and sugar in a mixi bowl and grind them. Then mix cardamom powder and fried cashew nuts to it. Now add ghee to the mixture to make Rice Laddus.
Chocolate Laddu
Ingredients
Grated Coconut - 2 cups
Powdered Biscuit - 2 cups
Sugar Powder - 1 cup
Dairy Milk Chocolate - 1 packet
Boiled Milk - 1/2 cup
Place grated coconut in a pan and roast to golden brown. Remove it from fire and allow it to get cool down. Then add it with powdered biscuit, sugar powder and grated chocolate. Now add milk to roll the Chocolate Laddus
