Midtown Madness game is provided with variety of vehicles such as car, van, bus and mini lorry to choose from and some of them will be kept locked until you win the races.The city where the game to play is provided with all features like high buildings, traffic signals, neat roads, platforms, pedestrians, flyovers and huge traffic that every city in the real world contains
In the main menu you will find Quick Race, Single Player and Multiplayer. The Quick Race will help you to immediately participate in the race by clicking the tab 'go drive' at the bottom. In Single Player we can enjoy four modes of races including Cruise, Blitz Race, Check Point Race, and Circuit Race. By clicking the 'Cruise' you can enjoy free driving without pressure of race. The Blitz Race is provided with 4 check points and you need to cross all the four check points within 30 seconds to win the race. Here you are only one to participate in the game. The Check Point Race is provided with 10 check points where we need to compete with the other 6 opponents. The Circuit Race contains 5 check Points, two laps and 6 opponents to compete with. The Multiplayer is for playing with other players online.
Before going to participate in each race you can set time of the day, weather, traffic density, pedestrian density, cops density. You can change the race location by clicking the tab that you can find on the right side. After selecting the race, you can choose any kind of vehicle that interests you. You can also change the color of your favorite vehicle.
The 'Options' in the main menu will enable you to change Audio, Control and Graphics. You can set audio effects, play music, play commentary, wave volume, sound balance by clicking the 'Audio'. The 'Control' is provided with many controllers like mouse, key board, joy stick, game pad and steering wheel. However, the key board controller is advisable to get nice game experience. Here you can also read all the important key functions which will be helpful to get complete game experience. For eg. 'D' button is for changing the view, Space Bar is for hand brake, left and right arrows for steering, up and down arrows for accelerating and brakes, Enter for Horn. In Graphics you don't need to change any thing and it's better to set them as defaults. The recommended graphics resolution for the game is 640X480
